Susan Musser

Susan Musser is a prominent antitrust lawyer who served as Chief Trial Counsel for the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition from April 2020 to October 2025, holding senior positions including Acting Director.[1][5] She led teams in major FTC antitrust cases and, in a departure from past practice, contributed to the FTC's rare pursuit of a permanent injunction against the Henkel/A-Paint merger in December 2025.[3] In October 2025, she joined WilmerHale as a partner in its Antitrust and Competition Group.[1][2][5]
