Susan Meddaugh
Susan Meddaugh, born October 4, 1944, in Montclair, New Jersey, worked for ten years at Houghton Mifflin as a designer, art editor, and art director before becoming a freelance illustrator and author of children's books.[1][2] She is best known for her Martha Speaks series, a New York Times Best Illustrated Book in 1992 that was adapted into a PBS Kids TV show, along with other titles like Hog-Eye and The Witches' Supermarket.[1][2][4] She graduated from Wheaton College with degrees in French literature and fine arts and resides in Sherborn, Massachusetts.[1][2][5]
