Susan Carey

Susan E. Carey (born 1942) is an American psychologist and professor emerita at Harvard University known for her influential work on language acquisition, conceptual change, and children's cognitive development. Her research helped introduce ideas such as fast mapping and Quinian bootstrapping, and her books include "Conceptual Change in Childhood" and "The Origin of Concepts".
