Stuart Z. Perkoff
Stuart Z. Perkoff was an American poet, painter, and collage artist born in St. Louis, Missouri, who became a central figure in the West Coast Beat poetry movement, particularly in Venice West, California. He led a nomadic life, moving from New York to the West Coast, published works like Suicide Room (1956) and Eat the Earth (1971), struggled with addiction and legal issues including a 1968 drug arrest, and died of cancer in 1974.[1][2][3][4]
