Stuart Berg Flexner
Stuart Berg Flexner (1928–1990) was an American lexicographer, editor, and author best known for works on the history and origins of American words and expressions, including "I Hear America Talking" and "Listening to America." He also co-edited the "Dictionary of American Slang" and served as chief editor of the second edition of the Random House Dictionary.[1][4]
