Stormie Omartian
Stormie Omartian is an American Christian author born on September 16, 1942, in Nebraska, raised on a farm in eastern Wyoming, and later moved to Compton, California. She is married to Michael Omartian, with whom she recorded five musical albums in the 1970s and early 1980s before launching her bestselling writing career focused on prayer, including the 'Power of a Praying' series that has sold over 42 million copies worldwide. Known for her conference speaking, she shares personal experiences of overcoming an abusive childhood to illustrate God's transformative power through prayer and faith.[1][2][7]
