Steven Weinberg

Steven Weinberg was an American theoretical physicist renowned for his contributions to the electroweak theory, unifying the weak and electromagnetic forces, for which he shared the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics with Sheldon Glashow and Abdus Salam.[1][2] He authored influential textbooks and popular science books, shaping modern particle physics and cosmology.[3][6] Weinberg held positions at institutions like Berkeley, Harvard, MIT, and the University of Texas at Austin until his death in 2021.[4][9]
