Steven Paas

Steven Paas (born 1942) is a Dutch missionary, theologian, church historian, and lexicographer known for authoring the Oxford Chichewa-English and English-Chichewa Dictionary[2][5]. He served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Netherlands Army before working in the Netherlands and Malawi, where he taught at Zomba Theological College and served as a minister of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian[2][5]. He is the father of missiologist Stefan Paas and has published extensively on church history, mission, and Chichewa lexicography[2][4].
