Steven Heine

Steven J. Heine is a distinguished scholar and professor with expertise in both cultural psychology and Zen Buddhist studies. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1966, he has held faculty positions at the University of British Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, and Florida International University. He is known for his bestselling textbook 'Cultural Psychology' and his research on how culture shapes human psychology, as well as his scholarly work on medieval Japanese Buddhism and the teachings of Dogen.
