Steven Graham

Stephen Graham (1884–1975) was a British journalist, travel writer, essayist, and novelist best known for his accounts of travels in pre-revolutionary Russia and with Russian pilgrims to Jerusalem.[1][3] He expressed sympathy for the poor, agricultural laborers, and tramps while critiquing industrialization, and later wrote biographies, novels, and works on Europe and North America.[1][4] Graham served in World War I, befriended literary figures like H.G. Wells and Ernest Hemingway, and spent time in Yugoslavia in the 1930s.[7]
