Steven C. Hayes
Steven C. Hayes is an American clinical psychologist and Nevada Foundation Professor Emeritus at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is renowned for developing Relational Frame Theory, an account of human higher cognition, and for co-developing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a widely-used evidence-based psychotherapy approach. With over 725 scientific articles and 48 books to his name, Hayes has spent four decades researching how to alleviate human suffering and promote values-based living.
