Stephen Schwartz
Stephen Lawrence Schwartz (born March 6, 1948) is an American musical theatre composer and lyricist known for hit Broadway musicals including Godspell (1971), Pippin (1972), and Wicked (2003). He studied piano and composition at the Juilliard School while in high school and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1968 with a B.F.A. in Drama, later earning three Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and multiple Tony nominations for his work in theatre and film.[1][2][3]
