Stephen Pollock

Stephen C. Pollock is a poet, essayist, and neuro-ophthalmologist who served as Chief of Neuro-Ophthalmology at Duke University before becoming chief executive of Community Eye Care (CEC). His debut poetry collection, Exits, won the 2024 North Street Book Prize for Poetry and 41 other national and international awards after being written over twenty years. He currently lives in North Carolina with his wife and continues to write poems, essays, and scientific articles while managing multiple sclerosis.
