Stephen Pihlaja

Stephen Pihlaja is a Reader in Stylistics at Newman University Birmingham, originally from Chicago, US, and an immigrant to the UK where he has lived and worked in Birmingham for over nine years. His research focuses on religious discourse, interaction, and storytelling, particularly in online contexts like YouTube and social media. He is the author of books such as 'Antagonism on YouTube' (Bloomsbury, 2014), 'Religious Talk Online' (CUP, 2018), and 'Talk about Faith' (CUP, 2021), and editor of 'Analysing Religious Discourse' (CUP, 2021).
