Stephen Kantrowitz
Stephen Kantrowitz is a historian and professor of history at the University of Wisconsin–Madison whose research focuses on race, citizenship, belonging, and Native-settler interaction in the nineteenth-century United States. His work spans the antebellum, Civil War, and postbellum eras, with attention to slavery, emancipation, Reconstruction, and U.S. conquest.
