Stephen Hume

Stephen Hume is a Canadian author, poet, essayist, and historian who joined the Vancouver Sun as a columnist-at-large in 1989 and has taught creative non-fiction at the University of Victoria for 22 years. He has authored nine books spanning poetry, essays, history, and natural history, with his latest book, A Walk with the Rainy Sisters, published in 2010. He arrived in British Columbia in 1948.
