Stephen Hanks

Stephen Hanks is an author, genealogist specializing in African American genealogy, and a legal process server based in Portland, Oregon. He began his genealogy research in 1989 at around age 30 and teaches classes on the subject while contributing to PBS documentaries. Hanks has authored books such as '1619 - Twenty Africans' and 'Akee Tree,' exploring family histories and ancestral connections.
