Stephan Sanders

Stephan Sanders (born 1961 in Haarlem, Netherlands) is a Dutch columnist, essayist, presenter, and writer known for his sharp commentary in newspapers like de Volkskrant. Adopted by Dutch foster parents, he studied philosophy and political science at the University of Amsterdam and debuted in 1991 with collections of essays and stories. Notable works include 'Zon, zee en oorlog' (2007), exploring his South African biological roots, and 'Iets meer dan een seizoen' (2013); he publicly reaffirmed his faith in 2015.
