Steffen Staab

Steffen Staab, born in 1970 in Würzburg, Germany, is a German computer scientist specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, semantic web, and knowledge technologies. He studied computer science and computational linguistics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the University of Pennsylvania, and currently serves as Professor for AI and Machine Learning at the University of Stuttgart, where he is also founding director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and spokesperson for the Excellence Cluster 'Data-integrated Simulation Science'.
