Steffanie Strathdee
Steffanie A. Strathdee is a Canadian-American infectious disease epidemiologist and professor at the University of California San Diego, where she serves as Associate Dean of Global Health Sciences and co-directs the Center for Innovative Phage Applications and Therapeutics (IPATH). Her research has focused on HIV prevention among marginalized populations and antimicrobial resistance, and she co-authored the memoir The Perfect Predator about her efforts to save her husband from a deadly superbug.
