Stacey Balkun

Stacey Balkun is a poet and author of books including Sweetbitter (Sundress Publications, 2021), Jackalope-Girl Learns to Speak (dancing girl press, 2016), and Eppur Si Muove, with work appearing in Best New Poets 2018, Crab Orchard Review, and The Rumpus.[1][2] She holds an MFA from Fresno State and a PhD from the University of Mississippi, Oxford, and teaches creative writing online at The Poetry Barn and The Loft while serving as Coordinator for English programs at the University of New Orleans.[3][6] A winner of awards like the 2019 New South Writing Contest and the 2017 Women's National Book Association Poetry Prize, she is also co-editor of Fiolet & Wing: An Anthology of Domestic Fabulist Poetry.[1][2]
