St Bonaventure
St. Bonaventure (c. 1217–1274), born Giovanni di Fidanza in Bagnoregio, Italy, was a major medieval Franciscan theologian, philosopher, and minister general of the Franciscan Order. He is known as the "Seraphic Doctor" and wrote influential works on spirituality and theology, including writings on St. Francis and The Journey of the Mind to God.
