Sorin Cristoloveanu

Sorin Cristoloveanu is a pioneering researcher in device physics, renowned for his visionary work on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology, discovering key mechanisms of thin-body devices as early as 1976 that advanced transistor development.[1][2] He served as Director of Research Exceptional Class (2008-2014) and Emeritus Director of Research (2014-2024) at IMEP-LAHC, Institute of CNRS in Grenoble, France, and is an IEEE Fellow who received the IEEE Andrew S. Grove Award.[1][2]
