Sonia Shah
Sonia Shah is an investigative science journalist, Guggenheim fellow, and author of critically acclaimed books including The Body Hunters, Pandemic, and The Next Great Migration, exploring topics like global health, drug testing, migrations, and humanity's relationship with nature.[3][5][6][7] Daughter of Indian immigrant physicians, she was born in New York in 1969, graduated from Oberlin College in 1990, and her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and elsewhere.[2][3][6] She has received awards such as Whiting Grants and fellowships from the Nation Institute and Puffin Foundation.[5][6]
