Skevos Georges Zervos
Skevophylax Georges Zervos, known as Skevos Zervos, was a prominent Greek professor, doctor, politician, and university professor renowned as a pioneer surgeon in transplants and telemedicine.[1][2] Born and raised in Kalymnos, Greece, he performed the first testicle transplantation from an ape to a man in 1910, which was later recognized in 1934, and developed early telemedicine systems demonstrated in Athens.[1] He was also esteemed as a researcher, humanist, benefactor of hippocratism, and Greek patriot.[3]
