Sir Edward Shepherd Creasy
Sir Edward Shepherd Creasy (1812–1878) was an English historian, jurist, and author best known for his work *The Fifteen Decisive Battles of the World* (1851). Born in Bexley, Kent, he was educated at Eton and King's College, Cambridge, called to the bar in 1837, and appointed professor of history at University College London in 1840. In 1860, he became Chief Justice of Ceylon, was knighted, and later returned to England due to ill health before his death in London.[1][2]
