Sir Betjeman, John

Sir John Betjeman was an English poet, writer, and broadcaster known for his nostalgic and witty poems about English life, architecture, and suburban culture. He served as Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1972 until his death in 1984, and was also a passionate advocate for the preservation of Victorian and Edwardian buildings.
