Shirley Parenteau
Shirley Parenteau is a children's picture book author known for her popular 'Bears' series, including Bears on Chairs, Bears in Beds, and Bears in the Bath. Raised on the far northwestern coast of Oregon as the fourth of five children, with her father a logger, she has also authored books like Dolls of Hope. She began her career as a children's book author with multiple works published by Candlewick Press.
