Sherwood Lawrence
Henry Sherwood Lawrence (September 22, 1916 – April 5, 2004) was an American immunologist best known for his 1949 discovery of transfer factors and for founding the field of cell-mediated immunology focused on lymphocytes. He served as a professor and department head at New York University for over five decades, where he directed the AIDS Research Center and founded the journal Cellular Immunology[1][3][5].
