Sharon M Harris
Sharon M. Harris is a feminist literary scholar and cultural historian, known for her work in recovering early American women's writings. She founded and served as the first president of the Society for the Study of American Women Writers, edited its journal Legacy from 1996 to 2004, and co-founded the Society of Early Americanists. Harris has authored and edited numerous books, including Executing Race (2005) and Dr. Mary Walker, An American Radical (2009), and held positions at universities such as Temple, Nebraska–Lincoln, Texas Christian, and Connecticut, from which she retired.[1][3][4]
