Sharon Holt

Sharon Holt is a New Zealand children's author, publisher, and creator of books and learning resources, particularly in Te Reo Māori, including the award-winning Te Reo Singalong series that won Ngā Tohu Reo Māori in 2013 and CLNZ Educational Publishing Awards in 2015. Born in Auckland in 1959, she grew up in Glen Innes, moved to the Waikato in 1997, and has lived in places like Leamington, Kihikihi, Hamilton, and now Te Aroha. A former teacher, she has written dozens of books, articles, stories, poems, and plays for children, with a passion for making te reo Māori fun and accessible through songs and interactive materials.
