Shane Neilson
Shane Neilson is a Canadian physician, poet, and author born in 1975 in Sheffield, New Brunswick, who moved to Oromocto at age eight and later trained in medicine at Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland.[1][2] He completed a Ph.D. in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University and has published numerous poetry collections including *New Brunswick* (2019), *Complete Physical* (2010), and *Meniscus* (2009), alongside non-fiction works like *Call Me Doctor* (2006).[1][2][4] Currently, he practices medicine and lives in Ontario, focusing on themes of region, illness, and neurodiversity.[2][4][8]
