Shahram Latifi

Shahram Latifi is an IEEE Fellow and Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he serves as Director of the Center for Information and Communication Technology (CICT). He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tehran University, Iran in 1980, and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1986 and 1989, respectively. His research spans image processing, biosurveillance, biometrics, computer networks, fault-tolerant computing, and data compression, with over 200 published technical articles.
