Sebastian Snow
Sebastian Edward Farquharson Snow (1929–2001) was an English adventurer and explorer best known for his expeditions in South America, including confirming the source of the Amazon River during a 1951 journey down the Maranon and Amazon rivers from Peru to Liverpool.[1][3][4] He also undertook a remarkable 15,000-mile walk from Ushuaia in Patagonia to Alaska along the Pan-American Highway starting in 1973.[1] An Old Etonian, Snow was noted for his eccentric style, often singing the 'Eton Boating Song' during his travels.[3][6]
