Sebastien Braun is a French-born illustrator specializing in children's books, born in Strasbourg where he developed a passion for drawing despite limited formal art education in school. Initially studying history at Strasbourg University, he switched to fine and applied arts, taught art briefly, then became a freelance illustrator starting with editorial clients in Paris before moving to London in 2000 to focus on children's picture books, board books, and novelty formats. He has collaborated with renowned authors like Allan Ahlberg, Julia Donaldson, and Sam McBratney, and now lives in the Cotswolds with his family.
