Sarah Micklem
Sarah Micklem is an American author best known for her fantasy novels Firethorn (2004) and Wildfire (2009), which explore war from the perspective of a female camp follower. Born in 1955 in Virginia, she worked for many years as an art director for children's magazines, including for Time Warner and Girl Scouts of the USA, before transitioning to writing. A Princeton University graduate and high school GED recipient, she is married to poet and playwright Cornelius Eady and teaches fiction at the University of Notre Dame.
