Sarah Maine

Sarah Maine was born in England and grew up partly in Canada, emigrating with her family at age ten before returning to the UK for university where she studied archaeology as both an undergraduate and postgraduate.[1][2][3] She worked as an archaeologist in York for many years, now freelances as a researcher, lecturer, and writer, and has published several novels often set in Scotland and places with Scottish connections.[1][3][5] She loves travel, the outdoors, and exploring how landscapes affect her characters.[1][5]
