Sarah Ladipo Manyika

Sarah Ladipo Manyika is a British-Nigerian-American writer, academic, and literary curator known for her novels, short stories, and essays exploring African identity, history, and global migration.[1][2] Raised in Nigeria with a Nigerian father and British mother, she has lived in Kenya, France, England, Zimbabwe, and now divides her time between San Francisco—where she teaches literature—and other locations.[3][4] Her notable works include the best-selling novel *In Dependence* (2009), *Like a Mule Bringing Ice Cream to the Sun* (2016), and *Between Starshine and Clay*, with contributions to *Granta*, *The Guardian*, and others.[1][2][5]
