Sarah Brady

Sarah Jane Brady (née Kemp; February 6, 1942 – April 3, 2015) was a prominent American advocate for gun control who served as chair of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. She began her activism after her husband, James Brady, was permanently disabled during the 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, and she published an autobiography on gun violence prevention in 2002.
