Samuel Walker

Samuel Emlen Walker is an American civil liberties, policing, and criminal justice expert who specializes in police accountability. He is Professor Emeritus of Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, where he taught for 31 years before retiring in 2005. Walker has authored 14 books on policing and criminal justice that have appeared in 39 different editions and is widely recognized as a national expert on police accountability and civil liberties.
