Samuel N. Rosenberg

Samuel N. Rosenberg was a prominent medievalist specializing in Old French literature, philology, trouvère poetry, and historical narratives, with a career focused on textual editions and translations.[1][2] He earned an A.B. from Columbia University in 1957 and a Ph.D. in Romance Philology from Johns Hopkins University in 1965, serving as Professor Emeritus of French and Italian at Indiana University after roles including department chair.[2][3] His publications include critical anthologies like 'Chanter m’estuet' and translations of works by Colin Muset and Paul Verlaine.[2]
