Samuel Lynn Hynes

Samuel Lynn Hynes (1924–2019) was an American author, literary critic, and Woodrow Wilson Professor of Literature Emeritus at Princeton University. A Marine Corps pilot during World War II, he authored acclaimed works on war memoirs and literature, including 'The Soldiers’ Tale,' which won the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award in 1998.[1][2]
