Samuel Cole Williams

Samuel Cole Williams (1864-1947) was a Tennessee jurist and historian who served on the Tennessee State Supreme Court and later as dean of the Lamar School of Law at Emory University. He authored numerous historical works on Tennessee, including 'Beginnings of West Tennessee' (1930), and chaired the Tennessee Historical Commission, promoting the preservation of historical sites and local records throughout the state.
