S. K. Verma

Dr. S. K. Verma, M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc., served as Chief Investigator at the Indigenous Drug Research Centre, Department of something, dedicating 44 years to medicinal plant research on experimental atherosclerosis in animals and coronary risk parameters in humans with Coronary Artery Disease.[1] He published 125 research and review articles with a Google Scholar citation index of 3269, h-index of 27, and i10-index of 33, authored two books, and managed projects funded by ICMR, CSIR, DANIDA, and the Spice Board of India.[1] Awarded fellowships by 16 scientific bodies, he received prestigious honors including the Gargi Devi Shurvir Singh Award, Rabindranath Tagore Oration, and Lifetime Achievement Award for Research.[1]
