Sergio A. Albeverio is a Swiss mathematician and mathematical physicist known for work in probability theory, analysis, mathematical physics, algebra, geometry, and number theory. He was born in Lugano, Switzerland, on 17 January 1939 and studied mathematics and physics at ETH Zurich.
