Ruth Wariner

Ruth Wariner is an American author and speaker known for her memoir 'The Sound of Gravel,' which recounts her childhood in a polygamist Mormon colony in rural Mexico and her escape to the United States at age 15. She raised her three youngest sisters after fleeing, earned her GED, and later became a high school Spanish teacher while living in Portland, Oregon.
