Ruth Stiles Gannett

Ruth Stiles Gannett (1923–2024) was an American children's writer best known for My Father's Dragon and its sequels, which became classic fantasy stories for young readers. Born in Brooklyn and educated at Vassar College, she published her first book in 1948; it earned Newbery Honor recognition and remained in print for decades.
