Ruth Rendell
Ruth Rendell (1930–2015) was a British author renowned for her crime novels and psychological thrillers, best known for creating Chief Inspector Reginald Wexford.[1][2] She published over 60 books across her half-century career, winning three Edgar Awards and multiple Gold Daggers from the Crime Writers' Association.[5] Under the pseudonym Barbara Vine, she produced more psychologically complex narratives exploring characters' haunted pasts.[4]
