Ruth Ohi (Author, Illustrator)

Ruth Ohi is a Japanese Canadian picture book author and illustrator who has illustrated over 60 books, 23 of which she also authored, with her first books published in 1989.[1][5] A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, she lives in Toronto, Canada, and her works including the Fox and Squirrel series and 'Blanket' have received numerous awards and translations in multiple languages.[1][3] She is passionate about working with young people through art, creativity, and books, often conducting workshops.[3]
