Ruth Gruber

Ruth Gruber was an American journalist, photographer, author, and humanitarian known for documenting women under fascism and communism, aiding Jewish refugees during World War II, and recording the voyage of the *Exodus 1947*.[1][2] She was also a pioneer in photojournalism and wrote several books based on her experiences, including works on the Soviet Arctic, wartime refugees, and the *Exodus 1947*.[2][4][5]
